Resin grow-tent setup guide
A practical guide to setting up a contained resin-printing workspace will come out of the real build log as the equipment, workflow, and ventilation are tested.

- This guide is being built from the real resin workspace documented in the build log.
- The guide will be published after the floor protection, washing workflow, curing workflow, and exhaust are actually set up and tested.
- Until then, the build log is the honest place to follow the decisions, mistakes, and unfinished parts.
Why this is not a guide yet
The original material was written while the workspace was still being planned. It is useful as a record of the decisions, but it would be premature to present those plans as a finished or tested setup.
I'm keeping the working notes in the resin workspace build log. As the tent gets used, the parts that prove useful will be distilled into this guide.
What the finished guide will cover
- floor protection and cleanup
- a practical dirty-wash and clean-wash workflow
- curing and contaminated-waste handling
- ventilation and the limits of using a grow tent as an enclosure
- what equipment was actually useful, what was unnecessary, and what I would change
What has to be true before it's published
- the exhaust is built and smoke-tested at the tent seams with incense, with all IPA and resin sealed and out of the tent first, since IPA vapor is flammable
- ten good prints across both printers
- the dirty-to-clean IPA workflow used at least three times
- a month without a mess escaping the tent
The guide will be marked current only after those recommendations come from use rather than plans.
